OPTION 1: (buy your own Bento)
On your arrival (or during lunch time), pick up a delicious “Eki-ben” in Sendai Station.
Please see “宮城県の駅弁” Many!!
http://eki-ben.web.infoseek.co.jp/020tohoku.htm
OPTION 2: (nearby restaurants)
Right next to the AER venue there are many restaurants on 9F of Parco building.
Parco Building, 9F: www.parco-sendai.com/ Parco is the directly next to the meeting venue. Many restaurants on the top floor (9F): Thai, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Japanese fusion, etc. Yum!!!!
[The lower floors of Parco (B1, 1F, 2F) have tiny sweets shops or coffee and tea shops which are always very, very crowded. We strongly recommend going to 9F to the “real” restaurants for lunch on the Ninth Floor.]

There is a Chain of Gyutan restaurants in Sendai called Rikyu. It is reputed for it great quality and taste. People line up all the time to go to that restaurant. They don't take reservations; first come first served. The good thing is these restaurants are all over Sendai.
